How did Louise McKinney impact women’s rights throughout Canada?

Why did you choose this topic:

I think she was an inspirational woman who strongly influenced women’s rights in Canada and in Alberta where I live.

Please summarize your experience in researching this project?

I enjoyed researching my project and I also travelled to the town where she lived and that gave me a different perspective because I was experiencing it myself.

How did you personally connect to this project?

I think it is important to educate ourselves on the history of women’s rights and because it is a passion of mine.

What are your conclusions about your topic?

I learned some very interesting history of Alberta and the people who helped to shape our province. I am glad that I chose Louise McKinney to do my project on.

how did she help women and how did she impact doctors

Why did you choose this topic:

I chose this project because I found her very interesting and I wanted to learn more about the women’s suffragist and how she made an impact on us women. I also wanted to know about her medical and what she did and how she made it better.

The canadaian encyclopedia changed my thinking of her and what she did, it made me think about how she worked with now one knowing for or then ten years, how she was also on the hundred dollar bill and the Women’s Suffragist.

How did you personally connect to this project?

I’m interested in women’s rights because I think it’s important for women to be able to do whatever they want and not have to worry about something happening to them. And i really like to learn more about doctors and how medicine and stuff help us

What are your conclusions about your topic?

Emily Stowe, true pioneer, mother, doctor, Women’s Rights activist,and family these are all things that made up Emily’s life and what she did.
